“Judging” is a podcast interviewing judges of all types—state, federal, municipal, trial, appellate, even private arbitrators—from every jurisdiction.
It focuses on what judges do, both practically and philosophically, from the viewpoint of those who do it.
Join us each episode as Matt Heffner, a 25-year-plus litigator, interviews judges and arbiters from across the nation to uncover who these people are, what they do, and why judging is an integral part of society.
Learn from those who know best about:
By pulling back the veil of mystery on the acts of judicial officers, we hope to dampen the current politicization of the bench, bolster public opinion of the judiciary, and highlight the character and quality of judges in our society. In turn, we feel those goals will strengthen the legitimacy of the judicial branch, deepen the respect for the rule of law, and impress upon the public the important, if underappreciated, role judges, magistrates, and arbiters play in all functioning societies.
